Weekly Report Card - 2010-04-18

Sunday, April 18

The start of a new week stands before us. Time to step up and note my successes and, uuh, failures. (BG) Now, a report on my April’s goals.

Goal 1 - I managed to write 25 scene-descriptive paragraphs. Most paragraphs contain anywhere from seven to 12 sentences that describe the basics of each scene. I think I have another 20 to 30 of these to get to the end of the book. Also, there may be a good possibility that some of the paragraphs may have enough basic material to cover two scenes. Will not find out until I start writing again.

Goal 6 - I completed my first book for the month. Gina Wilkins’ Private Partners is an interesting read. It kept my interest all the way through and I found it very entertaining. The next part of the goal is to write a review on it. I plan to do that this week as well as start another book.

Goal 10 - my mom and I transplanted six tomato plants and four pepper plants. I also planted some catnip, hot jalapeno, and wild onion seeds. The four pepper plant are mild pepper but I want some that has a little heat. Just need to remember to keep the plants apart.

As for the wild onion, we have them growing all around our yard and I collected a bunch of seeds last summer. I would like to dig them up but every time I do, I find that I cut the bulb in half. This time I planted them in containers so when the mature, I just turn the container over and collect the bulbs. Also, when mom mows the front yard with the tractor, the pleasant smell of onions fill the air.

Now some unwritten goals I made. One of them is that I found 20 blogs that I wanted to follow. Some are daily but many are a couple times a week to weekly. To my surprise, I have been able to keep up with them this week without much interruption. As a goal for this week, I want to look at a few other blogs. I may either expand my list or replace a few on my list. The main thing I want to do is to expand “My Blog List” on my blog page. Might even build a links page for my website.

Another unwritten goal is that I wrote a daily to do list along with a daily exercise list. So far, I managed to accomplish most of the items on the ‘to do’ list every day. I will cover this a little more in tomorrow’s blog post. The exercise list is just a list of suggested exercises to work on throughout the day. They do not have to be done in any order.

Well, it looks like I left out the failures and I think I like it that way. Seeing what I accomplished this past week makes me feel better. I just figure why dampen the feeling by posting the negatives.

So, have you had successes during this week? If so, raise your right hand, place it over your shoulder and give yourself a pat on the back. Keep on smiling. It can make you feel better.
